Tecmo isn’t going to E3 this year but they’re not the only company that’s not happy with the rearrangements of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Retailer GameStop will send less employees to E3 than last year and Best Buy isn’t going at all. GameCock Media Group is another publisher that’s not going to Santa Monica. GameCock even thinks that next year E3 will be no more.

John Riccitiello, Chief Executive at Electronic Arts, thinks that we gamers are bored.

Why does he think that?

Well he says that there isn’t enough innovation in the industry!

Does he blame Electronic Arts for making the same sportsgames every year again with just a few new features added to it?

No, not really, he just mentions that the it’s the whole industry’s fault. John is affraid that they’re losing casual gamers because games are too expensive, too hard to play and according to him games are too long. (more…)

Twenty years ago the first Metal Gear game appeared. In July Snake will celebrate his twentieth birthday and that’s way Konami will release a few Metal Gear Solid classics on July 26 in Japan.

The best thing in this collection of classics is the Metal Gear 20th Anniversary: Metal Gear Solid Collection. This collection contains Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the Sony PlayStation 2 and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops for the PlayStation Portable.

Metal Gear 1 and 2 are playable as well and the box contains a collection of two DVD’s as well featuring Metal Gear Saga and The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2.

Will we ever see this in the US? We’re affraid not, but the 20th anniversary trailer is cool!

We also found some Aussie quarter sales numbers showing that Australians love the Nintendo DS. That same handheld with Dual Screens is still unstoppable in Japan while the PS3 is still trying to get settled over there. (more…)
