Red Octane’s Dusty Welch said that the price of Guitar Hero III songs down-loadable via the online service of Microsoft or Sony won’t be dropped in price.
More than 300000 gamers have bought extra Guitar Hero songs in the last versions of the game so they have no reason to lower the price. He’s disappointed that gamers complain about the cost of download-able songs, he thinks the price is right.

Electronic Arts thinks that we’re bored with the games of today, and who knows they might be working on their own cool console! Frank Gibeau from Electronic Arts says that he has experience with building a hardware platform, but he says that a own game machine isn’t in the top 5 of EA’s priorities. But never say never!

Since today the official Stranglehold website is online in several languages. The site is full with new artwork, info on the different new elements in the game and characters. Fans of the game can also check out new trailers and screen shots. Next week Midway will release a new demo of the game.

Spider-Man will make his return in the last quarter of this year and this time he still has his friends, but he has a few enemies as well. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe will come out on the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and also on the Nintendo Wii. Activision released a new trailer today so check it out!

During E3 people are apparently still buying games while we are just checking out footage of new games and playing free demo’s!
Last week kids in Australia bought a lot of Pokémon, but this week they apparantely fell in love with Ice Age 2: The Meltdown and Spyro Shadow Legacy. That’s odd, two crappy games on number one and two! (more…)

Activision proudly announced that they shipped 8 million games in the first quarter of the year. Spider-Man 3 sold more than four million times, Shrek the Third follows with two million copies and Guitar Hero II and Transformers: The Game sold both one million copies. With games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero III Activision will sell loads of games in the future as well.

Too bad for those Chinese gamers, but in their version of World of Warcraft there won’t be any skeletons! The skeletons in the Chinese game have flesh and skin around their bones to make it a little more decent. Dead players now have a gravestone to show that they’re dead. And off course Chinese gamers aren’t happy with the decision Blizzard made. We feel sorry for them, they will really miss those skeletons!

Lucas Arts made some good bucks with their Lego Star Wars games and now it appears that their next title will be an Indiana Jones Lego game. There were rumors on a Lego Batman game as well but we haven’t heard anything from that. Lucas Arts announced that they will show a new trailer of Fracture and The Force Unleashed at this year’s E3. Let’s hope we get some information on those Lego games soon.

2K Games, SEGA and Activision dropped their E3 line ups online later than any other third party developer. We haven’t seen any official lists from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo so that’s where the big surprises will come from. Anyway, check out the line ups:
