We at Bitfood have decided to set up an info center where people can share their knowledge about great free PSP wifi hotspots.
For those who do not already use them:- we can - via these hotspots - connect our PSP to any available free wifi and download game demos, clips, wallpaper and, yes, Skype our friends (check our previous post on this) and so on …even when we are away from our home computer.
Wherever you are in the world (except Japan) if you know some great hot spots where we can connect to the internet via our PSP, then give all the details in the comment section at the end of this post.
(Why are we excluding Japan? - because Sony has recently done a deal with FON - the world’s largest global WiFi community - to provide access points for a FREE internet browser at 44,000 FON spots across Japan and over 2,000 in Tokyo alone!)
The Sony PSP has built-in wifi capability. This means that we can use our PSP as a mobile computer devise as well as a game station. But to use the PSP to connect to the internet, we need to find local free wireless networks to join.
So that’s where our readers come in. We see no reason why the rest of the world should be left out of getting free PSP wifi (hopefully Sony agrees and will soon offer all countries a similar great free network!)
In the meantime a bit of sharing will go a long way. For example, on a recent trip through Vancouver, Canada, one of our team discovered free wifi available 24/7 at a local cafe chain called Waves, and on offer for 2 hours a day at all Vancouver Starbucks.
