Some recent reports from Europe and others have revealed that Indiana Jones is coming to PSP (the 16+ version, not Lego! version).
But, there is a mystery to all this.
The European rating body ESRB, have clearly given a rating to the game for PSP:
But the recently reported rating of the game supposedly done by PEGI is nowhere to be found on the PEGI site - whether the search is done for “Activision”, “Indiana Jones” or its reported subtitle “Staff of Kings”!!
And no further light is shed on the issue at LucasArts - the game developer. Sure, the game is listed there as TBD - but only for X-box and PS3 - no mention of PSP!
Even Gamespot is speculating about the game! And Activision (rumored distributors for Europe) has no mention of the game on their site. Meanwhile, IGN has it quietly listed along with the release dates for UK
Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings Publisher: Activision Platform: PlayStation Portable Release Date: December 31, 2008 Release Region: United Kingdom
But IGN also reveals that it will not be released in the US till the end of 2009!
We will keep you posted - as soon as we know more!
In the meantime, Activision is about to release Spider-man: Web Of Shadows (Fall 2008) for PSP.
