2K Games has officially announced Mafia 2 and gave five screenshots of the game along with the announcement. The story sets in the early fifties, the late fourties and the whole setting should give the player a Hollywood feeling. Illusion Softworks is developing the game, the same studio that developed the first Mafia game. 2K Games will be showing more of Mafia 2 during the Leipzig Games Convention.
