Those colorful Beautiful Katamari things aren’t rolling on Sony’s PlayStation 3 so Sony Japan has announced that LocoRoco will soon apear on the PlayStation Network. Nope, not just a simple remake but a whole new game with hopefully good SIXAXIS controls. We haven’t seen anything official from it yet so we don’t have a releasedate, press release, fact sheet or price for you.

We still hear the cries of PlayStation 3 fans for the loss of Katamari Damacy, but Keita Takahashi has good news for them! The creator of the Katamari series has announced that he’s working on a new franchise that will appear on Sony’s PS3 console. Nobi Nobi Boy, which means something like ‘Stretch Stretch Boy’ will probably be stretchable Katamari-like thingies.

The developers of Halo Wars announced during E3 behind closed doors that there will appear a demo of the game before they will release it. Chris Rippy said that it’s going to take a while before the demo will appear, Ensemble Studio’s has scheduled the release of the demo in 2008. Oh well, Halo 3 will keep us busy until then.

Sony has announced on its E3 2007 pressroom that the Slimline PlayStation Portable system will hit Japan on September 20th for ¥19,800 (US $162). Colors enough to choose from: Ceramic White, Rose Pink, Lavender Purble, Felicia Blue, Piano Black, Ice Silver. How beautiful are those names?

On September 20th Sony will release its Slimline PlayStation Portable in Japan, but that’s not the only new piece of hardware Sony will be releasing in Japan. Today Sony Japan has announced that they will release a 1seg add-on digital TV tuner for the PlayStation Portable selling for ¥6,980 ($57). Too bad those 1seg thingies have signal dropouts and have problems catching some TV channels in trains or cars.

According to
Kotaku, Nintendo has boosted the production of Wii videogame consoles. Sunplus Technology, Lite-On and Wistron Corp were linked to Nintendo recently and now rumors say that Nintendo has stimulated the companies that supply their parts to give the production a boost. Nintendo is probably just pissed of all those gamers complaining that they still don’t have a Wii console in their house yet.

Mark Rein from Epic Games has announced that Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War are in development for Apple’s Mac. Epic Games has probably managed to use the Unreal Engine 3 on Mac computers so it’s possbile that they’ll be porting more PC games to Mac. Bioshock, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, Medal of Honor: Airborne and many more games that use the Unreal Engine 3 could be heading to Apple’s Mac OSX platforms as well.A few weeks ago iD Software and Electronic Arts announced that they’ll be developing more Mac compatible games as well since the Mac OSX platform has become more appealing thanks to better salesnumbers. The hardware of Apple’s Mac computers is better than before for playing games on it. Blizzard is supporting Apple’s Mac as well with game like World of Warcraft and StarCraft II will get a Mac version as well.

Ubisoft has released their new European (PAL) release schedule for the next coming months. There’s some nice stuff coming with Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for Sony’s PSP, Jam Sessions: Sing and Play Guitar for the Nintendo DS, Assassin’s Creed for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Haze for PS3 and Xbox 360.

A few days ago Ninja Theory, the developer studio working on Heavenly Sword for Sony’s PlayStation 3, announced that they were building a demo of the game. Today they posted on their forum that the demo is ready and inside the Sony HQ for testing and uploading. The demo will probably appear online on July 26 so fans will have to hang in there for a few more days!
