Everyone already knew that the Game Boy is a dead thing, but Shigeru Miyamoto has said that Nintendo won’t support the Game Boy Advance no more because they think that the GBA still has a strong future. Game Boy is a very strong trademark for Nintendo, so it was a hard pick for Nintendo to change the name from their new handheld the Nintendo Dual Screen to the complete new name Nintendo DS. The whole namechange thing fits in Saturo Iwata’s philosophy and it’s still not sure if Nintendo will use the name Game Boy ever again.
