The guys at 7th Columnist have discovered a new weapon called the Excavator in the Halo 3 Beta demo. One of their discoveries is this nice list of weapons in the game: Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Beam Rifle, Brute Shot, Carbine, Excavator, Gravity Hammer, Flamethrower, MagnumFree, Missile Launcher, Needler, Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, Fuel Rod Cannon, Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, SMG, Sniper Rifle, Spartan Laser, Spiker and a Sword. So apparantely the flamethrower is making its return.
The weapon on the art looks much like the boring device Bungie was talking about and the name pretty much explains the function of the weapon. Hopefully everything will become clear in a couple of hours.
